Features and Lifestyle Writer for OK! (Reach PLC)

My name is Amy, I’m 30-years-old and I currently live in Cambridgeshire.

With a passion for writing and a creative eye for photography, I’ve set up this website to help display my work. Using it as an online portfolio for people to view, and enjoy through both written and imagery.

With this in mind, let me tell you a bit more about me.

I absolutely love writing! If this is for my journalism or personal blog work, I love writing about a range of subjects and finding stories to share with others. This includes travel, lifestyle, health and news. You’ll find a section that displays my published journalism work, both in print and online. Including during my time as a Content Writer for the Mirror online, a Multimedia Reporter for Cambridgeshire Live and in my current position as a Features and Lifestyle Writer for OK! You’ll also find a section displaying my work created during my training for my NCTJ.

I also have a love for travel, having travelled to places such as South East Asia, China, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and around Europe too. You can see images from some of these trips in my photography section. You’ll also find blogs based on travel that I wrote on my last adventure, as well as others I’ve written since returning home. My travel blogs are based on my own experiences and adventures, including recommendations, tips, reviews and reflections on the places I’ve visited.

As well as travel, you’ll also find some lighthearted blogs I’ve written on lifestyle, all for an easy-breezy read! I’d like my writing to be enjoyable for both myself and fellow readers (hi mum!).

With a degree in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography, I have always loved capturing moments and places, telling a story through the use of my images. I enjoy documenting different aspects of my life, visiting new places, meeting new people and seeing something exciting after each photo taken.

My favourite place to photograph (so far) has to be Vietnam. I love the people, the culture, the colours, the buildings and the atmosphere.

In my spare time if I’m not writing or out taking photos, you may find me playing tennis, at the gym, socialising with friends, indulging in food or exploring somewhere new.
